He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Simon and Evelyn Simon (Anenson); his son Dustin; his siblings, Cassandra Damon, Carol Fogel, Gail Peterson and Mikel Simon; and his father-in-law John Vrchota.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Simon; his children, Heather Oaks (Jon) and Benjamin Simon (Tori); his grandchildren, Mickaela Geranen, Synnova Geranen (Holden Phillips), Nicholas Geranen, Lily Simon and Landon Simon; and his siblings, Marilyn Baty (Todd), Tammy Bucklin (David), Pauline Glynn (Rick) and Richard Simon. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Crawford - Osthus Funeral Chapel (1311 4th St NE, Watertown, SD 57201). A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
