He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Vetter and Mary Vetter (Reitzel); his wife Dee Langenfeld; his nephew Joshua Langenfeld; and his niece Traci Siefkes.

He is survived by: his children, Lynn Vetter (Jeanie) of Wilmington, NC, LaShell Johnson (Tom) of Norwalk, IA, Vicki Strait (Dennis) of Castlewood, LeAnn Erickson (Jim) of Brandon and Landon Vetter (Lindsey) of Castlewood; his grandchildren, Jacob, Alexa, Kennedy, Kassidy, Lindsey, Haley, Abbey, Tess, Ellie, Liyah, Laken and Lawson; his siblings, Richard Vetter (Jan) of Rochester, MN, Steve (Deb) of Castlewood and Carna Kruse (Gary) of Watertown; and his parents-in-law, Larry Langenfeld, Beverly Siefkes (Roger) of Boise, ID, Gloria Ries (Jerome) of Sioux Falls, Wayne Langenfeld (Pam) of Watertown and Cynthia Pommer (David) of Castlewood. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
