He is survived by: his wife Greta; his children, Allen "Bubba" Hilt (Kristin) of Canton, Matt Hilt of Rapid City and Debra Johnson (Warren) of Alcester; his grandsons, Kyle Johnson, Nathan Johnson, Grant Johnson, Mitchell Johnson, Evan Hilt, Ross Hilt, Bryce Hilt and Caleb Hilt; his siblings, John of Canton, Charlie (Pearl) of Canton and Betty Garcia (Ken) of Canton; and his siblings-in-law, Marlin Van Engen of Doon, IA, Jeanette Van Engen of Doon, IA, Carolyn Wilson (Dennis) of Redfield, IA, Marcia Van Voorst (Gerald) of Sioux Center, IA and Linda Haan (Rich) of Sioux Center, IA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
