It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melvin Franka (Canton, South Dakota), born in Edam, Saskatchewan, who passed away on January 26, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Franka and Bertha Franka (Bick); his wife Patricia Williams; his granddaughter Meghan; and his great grandchild Olivia.
He is survived by: his daughters, Mary Jo Fossum (Alan Jr.), Cindy Ellefson (Randy) and Colleen Elliott; and his sister Alice Leslie. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren; along with numerous extended family and friends.
