She was predeceased by: her parents, Ann Johneva (Welde) and Ole Halvorson; and her husband Vernon Robert Hemmingson. She is survived by: her sons, Greg Hemmingson (Penny) of Worthing, SD and Keith Hemmingson (Lisa) of Canton, SD; her grandsons, Jacob and Isaac; and her sisters, Susan Halvorson and Nancy Waltner (Roy).
In the spring of 2004, she moved into Canton where she was the volunteer coordinator of Siouxland RSVP for Lincoln and Union County.
