It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Victor Eckert (Canton, South Dakota), born in Winona, Minnesota, who passed away on February 25, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Vincent and Johanna Eckert (Bates); his son Keith A. Stern; and his siblings, Ronald D. Eckert, Janet Labesky and Margaret Donavan.
He is survived by: his wife JoAnn (Stern); and his children, Mark Stern, Barbara Dupuy, Allyn Campbell, Marlene Schmidt, John Eckert and William Eckert. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and numerous extended relatives and friends.
