With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John Olson (Canton, South Dakota), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 29, 2023 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As John departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved John. Though John may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Olson and Edna Tuttle Olson. He is survived by: his wife Cathy of Windsor; and his sisters, Edna Pesall of Rapid City, SD and Mary Wiebe of Tea, SD. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.
