It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eileen Veenis of Canton, South Dakota, born in Inwood, Iowa, who passed away on September 24, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Kock and Emma Kock (Claussen); her husband Moe; her daughter Julie Extine; her stepdaughter Barbara Oertel; and her siblings, Ray Kock, Ralph Kock and Elvira Johnson.
She is survived by: her stepchildren, Karyn Veenis, Jeanne Veenis Kline, Nancy Veenis and Gerry Veenis (Vickie); her grandchildren, Alex Koehler, Garrett Koehler, Kaci Kline, Karyn Kline, Sasha Honig, Kylee Breems, Kory Veenis, Anna Veenis, Paul Oertel and Kara Kruse; and her close friends, Jeanie Jacobsen (Jim), Kacie Ahlers (Landon), Hunter Jacobsen and Peggy Beard (Lance). She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
