He is survived by: his wife Carol Steineke; his daughters, Karla Johnson (Mitch), Brenda Larsgaard (Charles), Jill Johnson (Larry), Jean Fossum (Rick) and Dawn Kranz (Dana); his grandchildren, Nicholas Richards (Joyce), PJ Richards (Beth), Alex Richards, David Richards (Abby Henderson), Mical Johnson, Eric Larsgaard (Dana), Andy Larsgaard, Kelsey Olson (Steve), Megan Fritz (Cody), Sarah Ahlers (Brennen), Trevor Johnson, Derik Fossum (Jessica), Abigail Stearns (Jared), Benjamin Hammer (Kristen), Brittney Faehnrich (Tigh), Brianna Hammer, Aiden Kranz and Avery Kranz; his great grandchildren, Kaiden Larsgaard, Dyson, Skylar, Ryker Olson, Genevieve, Cecelia Richards, Nolan, Isaac, Chole Richards, Emrick Fritz, Liam, Lincoln, Lucah Ahlers, Micah Stearns, Hank, Charlie and Coy Faehnrich; and his siblings-in-law, Donna Roti and Arlyn Johnson. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
