David Baird Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Baird (Canton, South Dakota), who passed away on November 14, 2019, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clark and Mary Ellen; and his aunt Edith Sletten. He is survived by: his wife Hattie Baird (Kopsas); his children, Edie Slifka (Keith), Jill Baird (Butch Bacon), Carrie Forristall (Paul) and Matthew Baird (Shelley); his grandchildren, Hunter (Heather Bordwell), Whitney Slifka, Samantha, Isaac Forristall, Brooklynn and Matthew Baird; and his siblings, Don (Trudy), Ruth Pollard, Margaret Fink, Martha Aasheim (Lynn), Mary Mayer (Alan), Elizabeth Kirkebak (Keith) and Dorothy Bos.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to either Canton United Methodist Church or Avera Health Foundation.
