It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Duane Edward Miller of Canova, South Dakota, who passed away on November 3, 2023, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Vernon "Spike" and Velva Miller; his wife Marcella Marquardt; his son Derrin; his grandson Austin; and his in-laws, Glenda Callies (Reinhold), Robert Miller (Marie), Jerry Miller (Lassie), Anita Miller, Beverly Rapp (LaVern), Elwood Marquardt (Alice) and Delbert Marquart.
He is survived by: his children, Sandra Mendonca (Jack) of Ripon, CA, Duane, Jr. (MaryAnn) of Storm Lake, IA, Ed of Epiphany, SD, Joe (Laura) of Onida, SD, Rollie (Gina) of Dillon, MT, Travis (Tara) of Salem, SD and Corey (Kelly) of Lexington, MO; his granddaughter Amanda Peterson (Adam) of Fedora, SD.; his daughter-in-law Kim Miller of Epiphany, SD; his close friend Rhonda Miller of Salem, SD; his brothers, Harold Miller of Lake Andes, SD and Ron Miller (Joann) of Canova, SD; and his siblings-in-law, Ken Marquardt (Sandy) of Forest Lake, MN and Joy Grapes of Salem, SD.. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to Immanuel Lutheran Church or Canova American Legion.
