It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dion Conquering Bear (Calico, South Dakota), born in Pine Ridge, South Dakota, who passed away on October 9, 2021, at the age of 48, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Conquering Bear (Scabby Face) and Burgess R. Conquering Bear; his siblings, Burgess Conquering Bear, Sidney Conquering Bear, Annette Conquering Bear and Loretta Conquering Bear; and his grandparents, Agnes Brown Ear Horse, Alexander Scabby Face, Ida Slow Heart and William Conquering Bear.
He is survived by: his siblings, Lyle Conquering Bear of Rushville, NE, Loran Conquering Bear of Pine Ridge, SD and Eldon Conquering Bear of Indiana; his aunts and uncles, Lorraine Brady, Rachel Chief Eagle, Calvert and Delmar Dreaming Bear; his grandfather Ben Conquering Bear; and his sisters, Janet Cheyenne and Judy Slow Bear.
