She was predeceased by: her parents, Adolph Brunz and Helen Brunz (Koch); her parents-in-law, Klaus and Sena Hartog; her brother Art Brunz; and her siblings-in-law, Carol Hartog, Gladys Siefkes, Leroy Hieb, Donald Hartog, Richard Hartog and Henry Siefkes.
She is survived by: her husband Rod Hartog of Burke; her daughter Paula Carlson (Brad) of Naples; her granddaughter Sarah Carlson (Dave Jackson) of Cleveland; her sister Ruby Hieb of Granite Falls; and her siblings-in-law, Myrna Brunz of Burke, Roberta Hartog of Moorhead, Margaret Hartog of Worthington, Doreen Hartog of Windom, Robert Hartog of Windom and John Hartog of West Plains. She is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Union Congregational Church (519 Rosebud Ave, Gregory, SD 57533). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Ioof Cemetery.
The family requests memorials to be given in lieu of flowers to Burke Community Hospital, Burke South Dakota and Union Congregational Church, Gregory, South Dakota.
