He was predeceased by: his parents, Wesley Kangas and Odella Kangas (Thue); his brother Alfred; and his brother-in-law James Wilson. He is survived by: his sisters, Linda Devitt (Joe) of Spirit Lake and Susan Wilson of Woodbury; his nephews, David Wilson (Jessica), Tim Devitt (Sue), Chad Devitt (Jennifer) and Jon Devitt (Robyn); and his niece Lisa Wilson.
