He was predeceased by: his father Robert Cosby. He is survived by: his mother Violet "Peg" Cosby-Olson; his wife Roberta Cosby; his children, Stephani Buchholtz (Adam), Tara Cosby, Dana Cosby (Linda) and Jason Cosby; and his stepchildren, Matt Dommer (Naomi), Mark Dommer (Marsha), Anne Folkers (James) and Jeanie Wieger (Cory). He is also survived by 27 grandchildren; and eight-great-grandchildren.
