He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Morris N. and Mary E. Gilbert; his son Douglas (Theresa); his wife Shirley; his daughter Julie Asbill (Robert); his grandchildren, Daniel Gilbert (Jen), Justin Steelman (Suzanne), Alex Asbill (Courtney), Morgan Asbill and Brian Gilbert (Shelby); his great grandchildren, Rylee, Zoe Steelman, Gabriel Gilbert and Jaxon Asbill; his sister Mary Jane George of Arizona; and his nieces, Marylin Paulson (Mike), Kathryn Ross (Chuck) and Sue Higgins (JP).
