He is survived by: his wife Mary Roe; his children, Jay Roe (Rachel), Julie Hemmer, Inga Mehlenbacher (Mike) and Greg Roe; his grandchildren, Jonas Hemmer, Jill Hemmer, Mikey Mehlenbacher, Lex Roe and Max Mehlenbacher; and his siblings, Jane Cooper (Jeff), Mary Praytor (Larry), Peggy Sik (Bob), Andy Roe (Rhonda) and Katey Lawrence (Todd). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the South Dakota State University Foundation to the Mathematics and Statistics Department Excellence Fund in honor of Tom Roe.
