He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Podoll and Eleanor Podoll (Bohling); his siblings, Yvonne Zillmer, Lee Podoll (Kathy) and Dean Podoll; his parents-in-law, Frank and Marilyn Salwei; and his sister-in-law Marlene Zomers (Mart).
He is survived by: his wife Monica Salwei of John's Lutheran Church; his children, Peyton Bierman (Jeremy) and Andrew Podoll (Meredith); his grandchildren, Hannah, Jack, Owen, Harper Bierman and Pierson Podoll; his siblings, Keith Podoll (Elaine) and Glenn Podoll (Kathy); and his siblings-in-law, Ron Salwei, Leo Salwei (Katie), Charlie Salwei (Denise), Roger Salwei (Tina), Steve Salwei (Peggy), Marcella Watkins (Ron), Marlys Corn (Mark) and Melinda Salwei.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer memorials to Mount Calvary Lutheran Church Youth Group, 629 9th Ave, Brookings, SD 57006.
