He was predeceased by: his father Glenn; and his brother Homer. He is survived by: his sons, Glenn G. and Anna K. Prunty (Anderson); his spouse Betty Prunty; his children, Steve (Kristi), Stephanie (Del), Robin (Brian), Jackie (Mike) and Susan (Richard); and his brothers, Kenny (Florene) and Terry (Lorna). He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren.
