It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert S. Foster of Brookings, South Dakota, who passed away on June 4, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Foster (Butch) and Ann Foster (Knott); his brothers, Earl Foster Jr. and William Foster; his niece Melanie Sutton-Lloyd; his nephew Stephen Foster; and his sister-in-law Averlene Foster.
He is survived by: his wife LaVetta Leighton; his daughter Elizabeth Whaley (Mark); his grandchildren, Katie Ringling (Collin), Courtney Heinrich (Justin), Cassie Cutler (Keith), Megan Whaley (Tony Bergstrom) and Eli Whaley of Atlanta, GA; his great grandchildren, Kendall, Brayden Ringling, Emmy and Elliot Cutler; his brother Jim; his grandchildren, Jack Foster of Cape Canaveral, FL, Tom Foster (Cheryl) and Inverness; and his sister-in-law Judy Foster. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
