We are sad to announce that on December 20, 2022, at the age of 87, Robert Orville Kampmann of Brookings, South Dakota, born in Galva, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred C. Kampmann and Affie H. Kampmann (Moulton); his brothers, Howard and Calvin Kampmann; and his nephew Dennis Kampmann.
He is survived by: his wife Mariann Krogmann; his children, Karen Kampmann of Brookings, Teresa Delfinis (Koss) of Brookings, Bonnie Kampmann of Brookings and Daniel Kampmann of Brookings; his grandchildren, Kristina Phillips (Jamie) of Aurora, SD, Brandy Weber (Mike) of Brookings, SD, Anthony Kampmann (Mona) of Sioux Falls, SD and Karla Vomacka (Ryan) of Gillette, WY; his great grandchildren, Brady Kampmann of Aurora, SD, Angelique Kampmann of Lincoln, NE, Evan Vomacka of Duluth, GA, Gavin Vomacka of Gillette, WY and Mischa Janssen of Brookings, SD; and his sister Carol Evenhuis of Olympia, WA. He is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
In 1978, he started work with Foundation Seed at South Dakota State University and retired from there in 2000.
