He was predeceased by: his parents, Soren Bertelsen and May Bertelsen (Jonker). He is survived by: his children, Bridget Ver Mulm (Mark) of Volga, SD and Robert; his siblings, S. Howard Bertelsen of Volga, SD, Irene Olson (Vern) of Volga, SD, Ilene Bertelsen of Sioux Falls, SD and Sylvia Heinrich (George) of Coon Rapids, MN; his granddaughter Amelia Ver Mulm; his nephew Jared Bertelsen; and his niece Jennifer Oines. He is also survived by many other cousins and friends.
