It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita Barnett of Brookings, South Dakota, who passed away on September 27, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond E Lyle and Lucille Lyle (Walsh); her sons, James and Mark; her daughter-in-law Debbie; her grandson Trevor; and her siblings, Evelyn Chicoine, Joan Brown and Raymond Lyle.
She is survived by: her children, Greg of Minneapolis, MN, Ann (Rick), Pat (Kim) of Jackson, MN, Jean of Albuquerque, NM, Rose of Golden Valley, MN and Eileen Skogerboe (Jed) of Spirit Lake, IA; her grandchildren, Ashley Barnett, Daniel Volin, Katherine Volin, Andree Volin, Brooke Kruppiak, Tarah Patton, Olivia Corazzin, Liz Skogerboe and Nile Skogerboe; her siblings, Phil Lyle and Arlene Wells; and her sister-in-law Beth Eckerman. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
