He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul P. Johnson and Inga Johnson (Moe); his siblings, Bernice Mathison (Adolph), Parnell Johnson (Esther), Milton Johnson (Verona), Irene Johnson, Donald Johnson (Doris), Glen Johnson and Kenneth Johnson; and his brother-in-law Dr. James Krier (Marge).
He is survived by: his mother-in-law Winifred Krier Johnson; his wife Winifred K Johnson; his children, Lori Daniels (Rick) of West Union, IA, Cindy Swenson (Jon) of Aberdeen, SD, Marty Johnson (Teri) of Brookings, SD and Tami Stuart (John) of Brookings, SD; his grandchildren, Ryan Daniels (Ashley), Taylor Johnson (Nefeli), Alyssa Laufmann (Spencer), Alec Johnson (Alexa), Emily Johnson, Elliot Johnson (Quovondo), Tyler Swenson (Elisabeth), Bailey Mohr (Lance), Riley Swenson, Charles Stuart (Tracy), Hailey Stuart and Hannah Stuart (Seth); his great grandchildren, Jude, Bode, Oaklan, Harper, Laney, Logan and Adalyn; his sister Ruth Grengs (Dave) of Farmington, MN; and his sisters-in-law, Lois Johnson, Ruth Johnson of Hendricks, MN and Betty Aune. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.
