She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Kohler and Delores Kohler (Gehring); and her brother Bruce Kohler. She is survived by: her husband Mark Porter of Brookings, SD; her son Adam Porter (Amy) of Brookings, SD; her grandsons, Marcus and Bennett of Brookings, SD; and her sister-in-law Avis Kohler.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial be donated to The Neighborhoods at Brookview or Brookings Health System Auxiliary, Brookings, SD.
