Orris Swayze Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Orris Swayze of Brookings, South Dakota, who passed away on February 19, 2021, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Orris Swayze to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Swayze and Rosella Swayze (Sykora); and his brother Gerald Swayze. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Kempter BlueDog of Wilmot, SD; his grandchildren, Justin Hendricks, Jeremy Hendricks, James Late, Connor Late, Daniel Late, Kinley Swayze, Blaze Swayze and Oaklee Swayze; his son Patrick Swayze (Michelle Stork) of Wilmot, SD; his stepdaughters, Kristin Hendricks (Joe Sandbakken) of Annville, PA and Brandy Late (David) of Vine Grove, KY; and his siblings, Milton "Mick" Swayze of Wilmot, SD and Sharellyn Renelt Baskfield of Burnsville, MN. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
While maintaining social distancing guidelines, we are now able to gather for visitations and services. The use of face masks by attendees is recommended, and we will continue taking the necessary steps to keep our facility clean.
