It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Orie Leisure of Brookings, South Dakota, who passed away on March 2, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Leisure and Dolores Leisure (Leonard); his wife Jody Cooley; his children, William and Deiedre; his nephew Kevin Hamilton; and his niece Lynn Ostrander.
He is survived by: his children, Derek Leisure (Nancy) of Bruce, SD, Thomas Leisure (Jill) of Clear Lake, IA and Brita Huisken (Jeff) of Rapid City, SD; his grandchildren, Seth Patterson of Rapid City, SD, Rachel Paulson (Spencer) of Rapid City, SD, Trent Huisken (Rachel) of Rapid City, SD, Brooke Leisure (Meghan Martin) of Brooking, SD, Ryan Leisure (Isabel Derdzinski), Mallory and Madison Leisure of Clear Lake, IA; his great grandchildren, Christian, Phinaes, Ashton and Carter; and his sisters, Colleen Lipelt (Dale) of Arizona, Janice Olson (Curt) of Arizona and Kimberly Schmahl (Carey) of Watertown. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and his buddy.
