He is survived by: his wife Marlene "Micky" Ballis (Heinn) of St. Paul; his children, Jody Runge (Bill) of Brookings, Dawn Donofrio of New York, Nick Jr. (Lissa) of Iowa and Justin (Holly) of Brookings; his grandchildren, Zach Runge (Jessy), Katelynn Warejcka (Luke), Anthony, Casey, Matthew, Kelly, Riley Donofrio, Christian (Tristin), Avery, Ryker Ballis, Brooklyn, Madison and Jordyn Ballis; his great grandchildren, Camden, Marley, Elowyn, Livian, Liam, Charlee and Theo; his siblings, Sandy Ballis (Joseph Lopez) of Tucson, AZ and Tim Ballis (Cenia) of Pine City, MN; his half-sister Joanne Dinger (Ron) of Alexandria, MN; and his siblings-in-law, RoxAnne Ballis of Pine City, MN, Donald Heinn, John Jr. Heinn (Sharon), David Heinn (Cindy) and Pat Heinn (Rita).
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Eidsness Funeral Home (1617 Orchard Dr, Brookings, SD 57006).
