He was predeceased by: his father Frank Peterson Sr.; his wife Denise Peterson (Rens); his uncle Vincent Peterson; and his in-laws, Denny and Rita Rens.
He is survived by: his mother Dona Dee Peterson (Hicks) of Vermillion; his children, Jessica Welsh (Brennan) of Waukon, Iowa and Brock Peterson of Sioux Falls; his siblings, Cindy Aden (John) of Vermillion, Kayleen Omann (Tim) of Baldwin, WI and Bill Peterson (Shannon); and his sisters-in-law, Julie Blair (Ron), Lisa Crumpton (Andy) and Melissa Rens. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
