He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Adrien Jean and Pat Jean; and his siblings, Paul Jean, Mary Super and Annette Hobbs.
He is survived by: his son John; his wife Leslie Marie Mason; his children, Nicole Navarrete (Victor) and Zachary Jean (Rayanna); his stepchildren, David Evans (Flory), Emily Sheele (Jae), Alisa Ocean (Sunrise) and Nathan Evans (Aja); and his siblings, Ray Jean (Joy), Jim Jean (Stacey), Ted Jean (Amy), Patty Adams (Scott), Mike Jean (Anita), Julie Davenport (David) and Ed Jean (Lisa). He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren.
