It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Janet Wilson of Brookings, South Dakota, who passed away on January 12, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil C. Wilson and Leah Mae Wilson (Hirzel); and her brother Curtis Wilson. She is survived by: her children, Heidi Solberg (Doug), Neal Hirzel (Debra) and Alicia Price (Wade); her grandchildren, Joshua Houy (Brittanny), Jessica Belille, Ashley Solberg, Kathryn Banacci (Joe), Justin Price and Jamin Price; and her great grandchildren, McKenna Harron, Quinn Cooper, Daxton Houy, Ryot Katcher, Taysa Katcher, Annalyse Belille, Evyanna Belille and Jacob Bonacci.
Upon returning back to Brookings, Janet worked at South Dakota State University, retiring early due to an Alzheimer's diagnosis after 30 years with the college.
