He was predeceased by: his parents, Leona Lietz (Lacek) and Clarence Lietz; and his father-in-law Keith Smith. He is survived by: his wife Kim of Brookings, SD; his children, Ryan of Chandler, AZ and Nicole of Brookings, SD; and his siblings, Richard Lietz (Valarie) of Sioux Falls, SD and Donna (Les).
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Rude's Funeral Home (105 W 8th St S, Brookings, SD 57006). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Ascension Lutheran Church (2030 3rd St, Brookings, SD 57006).
