He was predeceased by: his parents, Ervin Xavier and Jo Candace Stein; his brother Larry; his sister-in-law JoAnn; and his brother Richard.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Lee Shivers-Miller; his sister Mary Poe (Noel) of Kanab, Utah; his sister-in-law Marcia Stein of Chadron, NE; his children, Mike, Steven Volga (Kristi) and Suzi of Flint, TX; his grandchildren, Sarah of Omaha, NE, Austin, Jamison, Alex and Jenna of Lincoln, NE; and his great grandchild Brinley. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
