It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Irene Porter of Brookings, South Dakota, who passed away on August 6, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her siblings, Jean and Johnny; and her children-in-law, Butch Kruse and Leah Torgerson. She is survived by: her former husband Roger Torgerson; her husband Mark "Bill" Porter; her children, Darlene Kruse, Rod Torgerson of Springfield, MO, Deb Braasch (Steve), Fargo, Doug Torgerson (Kathy Monnier) and Todd Torgerson (Andrea Austin) of Brookings; her grandchildren, Tina Kruse (Troy Nelson) of Watertown, Tim Kruse (Michele) of Watertown, Allison Harrison (Shaun), Eric Braasch (Emily Shaffer), Fargo, Ty Torgerson of Las Vegas, NV, Kyra Torgerson (Taylor Sandahl) of Ham Lake, MN and Trinity Torgerson (Parker Pacekonis) of Woodbury, MN.; her great grandchildren, Ryan Sattler, Kelsey Hetland (Jesse) of Richfield, MN, Zea, Kora Kruse, Rhett and Tripp Harrison; her great great grandchildren, Emma Sattler of Clear Lake, SD and Jack Sattler; and her niece Patti Phipps (John) of Boise, ID..
