It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George H. Duffey of Brookings, South Dakota, who passed away on June 2, 2022, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of George H. Duffey to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry A. Duffey and Marion E. Duffey (Barr) of Manchester, IA; his daughter Mary Duffey Shaw (Bruce); his former wife Helen S. Hooper; and his brothers, Royjohn Duffey and Loren A. Duffey.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Morgan; his children, Ann Gibson of Sioux Falls, SD and James R. Duffey (Virginia) of Cedar Crest, NM; his granddaughters, Karryn Allen (Ian) of Lakelands, Western Australia, Barbara Duffey of Mitchell, SD and Susan Steward (Randy) of Lexington, KY; and his great grandchildren, Brodie, Hudson and Theo.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be sent to the Mary Duffey Shaw Memorial Scholarship fund at SDSU.
