It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Garnet Hildebrandt (Brookings, South Dakota), born in Volga, South Dakota, who passed away on October 21, 2018, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Emil Hanson and Wilma Hanson (Baker); her husband Charles; her son Rodney; and her siblings-in-law, Robert Hildebrandt, Paul Hildebrandt Jr., Merwyne Kruse, Delores Hildebrandt and Elsie Hildebrandt.
She is survived by: her daughter Deb Richardson (William) of Afton, Iowa; her sister Velda (Kruse); her daughter-in-law Virginia Hildebrandt of Bloomington, Minnesota; her grandchildren, Ian Richardson of Des Moines, Iowa and Emma Richardson of Afton, Iowa; and her brother-in-law Donald Hildebrandt of Brookings. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been designated to Afton Care Center, Afton, IA and the First Lutheran Church, Brookings, SD.
