He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Hogie and Gladys Hogie; and his wife Karen. He is survived by: his children, Tony (Coleen) of Colorado Springs, CO, Steve (Andrea) of Brookings and Tami (Paul) of Pierre; his grandson Brendan Hogie (Ally) of Vergennes, VT; his children, Jared Hogie of Phoenix, AZ, Anastasia Pabst (Brad) of Eugene, OR, Chantel Hoerner (Austin) of Brookings, Brittney Drew (Noah) of Brookings, Angel Lorenzen, Allyson Lorenzen of Pierre and Alano Lorenzen; his great grandchildren, Jaxon Pabst, Landon Pabst and Oliver Hoerner; and his brother Phil (Darrylin) of Brookings.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Rude's Funeral Home (105 W 8th St S, Brookings, SD 57006). A memorial service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Ascension Lutheran Church (2030 3rd St, Brookings, SD 57006).
