It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Deborah Sommerfeldt of Brookings, South Dakota, who passed away on July 9, 2023, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arnold Vocke and Phyllis Vocke (Ames); her husband Joel Sommerfeldt; her stepfather Gernert F. Ames; and her son-in-law Adam.
She is survived by: her children, Benjamin Sommerfeldt (Julia) and Joelle Steiner (Adam); her grandchildren, Isabella, Joseph and Breanna; and her siblings, Celeste Steiner (Greg), John Vocke (Julie) and Gernert P. Ames. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
