He was predeceased by: his parents, Orlando Tangen and Grace Tangen (Wilber); his brother Ronald Tangen; his great-nephew Christopher Lucas; and his great-niece Cassandra Wherley.
He is survived by: his sisters, Cheryl Tangen and Colleen Foerster. He is also survived by niece, four nephews and several grand nephews and nieces.
