He was predeceased by: his parents, Phyllis Quail and Vernon Quail. He is survived by: his wife Zona Walter; his stepchildren, Kelly (Kaela) and Jenna (Ben); and his siblings, Dan (Nancy) and Deanna (Rory). He is also survived by 6 stepgrandchildren.
