He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Bernard Brandwein and Despina Brandwein (Sbarounis). He is survived by: his siblings, Robert Brandwein (Debra) of Brookings and Karen Kontos of Grimes; his nephews, William Kontos, Russell Kontos and Michael Brandwein; and his niece Stefanie Saucedo.
