She was predeceased by: her parents, Walkter H. Rust and Lillian Schafstall Rust; her husband Ralph E. Kastner of August; and her brothers, Orville and David.
She is survived by: her children, Richard A. Kastner (Susan) of Perry Michigan and Mary Kay Helling (Steve) of Brookings; her grandchildren, Elliot (Nina), Heidi (Nick), Jacob (Hanna), Andrew (Natalie) and Alexander (Melissa); her great grandchildren, Emily, Eva, Alma and Ethan; her siblings, Vera (Lawrence), Chester (Linda) and Waldron; and her sisters-in-law, Martha and Nancy. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
