It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Álvaro Jesús Estrada-Aguilar (Brookings, South Dakota), who passed away on September 21, 2022, at the age of 45, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Julio Estrada and Bertha Aguilar; and his siblings, Julio, Victor, Jaime, Reyna, Cristina and Sergio Estrada.

He is survived by: his children, Cinthia Esparza, Abril Estrada, Alvaro Estrada, Marjorie Estrada and Nicole Estrada; and his wife Manuela Varela.
