He was predeceased by: his parents, Neil Stiegelmeier and Edythe Stiegelmeier (DeYoung); and his sisters, Deanna Hilzendeger and Vicky Fisher. He is survived by: his wife Cathy Heinz; his children, Chad Likness (Addie), Easton, Dustin Likness and Tyler Stiegelmeier (Ally); his grandchildren, Kaylee, Jaxon, Blake Stiegelmeier (Katie), Gannon, Emma and Hank; his siblings, Rick Stiegelmeier (Bernie), Roger Stiegelmeier (Laurie), Jan Stiegelmeier (Anita), Adyele Cooper (Cal), Rita Warren (Joe), Connie Emerson (Bob), Cindy Stiegelmeier and Dawn Smith (David); and his brother-in-law Val Hilzendeger.
