She was predeceased by: her parents, Oswald Barsten and Helen Barsten (Uecker); her spouse Thomas Smith; her siblings, Oswald (Dorothy), Wilton Barsten (Mabel), Berma Dudley and Beatrice Hanson; her daughter-in-law Janel Smith; her nephew Randy Olson; and her niece Danielle Cortez (Hanson).
She is survived by: her son Ralph Smith (Carol) of Havana; her granddaughters, Brittany Butler (Tyler), Sarah Rzaszutak (Kyle), Nadine Smith and Stephanie Kellen (Cole); her daughter Brenda Smith of Fargo, ND; her grandchildren, Jacob Klubben, Laura Klubben (Shawn Fairweather) and Katie Black (Cassidy); her son Steven "Sam" Smith of Havana; her grandchildren, Justine Warburton (Chase), Thomas Smith and Marisa Smith; and her daughter Rhonda "Rosie" Smith of Watertown, SD.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Trinity Lutheran Church. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Trinity Lutheran Church of Havana, ND..
