He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Mitchel and Catharina Young (Ahles). He is survived by: his wife Charmaine Young of Britton; his children, Cheryl Pettersen of Moorhead, MN, Terry Young (Renae) of Sidney, MT, Allan Young (Kathy) of Veblen, SD and Steve Young (Julaine Richter) of Britton, SD; his grandchildren, Donald Pettersen, Ryan Pettersen (Kristina), Trevor Pettersen, Kyle Young (Kelsey), Jessica Glancey (Steve), Cassandra Campbell (Clayton), Spencer Cody (Jill), Stacy Cody, Taylor Young, Kira Odenbach (Devin), Nicole Hicks (Rob), Chad Wheeler (Kristi) and Jessie Wheeler; and his sister Hildegarde Wilcox of Boulder City, NV.. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He had received a number of awards for his numerous donations.
