He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Erdewyk and Tina Van Erdewyk (Eidem); his brother Vernard Van Erdewyk; his siblings-in-law, Carol Van Erdewyk and Robert Rickard; and his great-nephews, Matthew Rickard and Andrew Rickard.
He is survived by: his siblings, Zeno Van Erdewyk of Madison, SD and Sylvia Rickard of Brookings, SD; his sister-in-law Ellen Van Erdewyk of Hendricks, MN; and his nephews, Larry Rickard and Kevin Van Erdewyk. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
