He was predeceased by: his parents, Rose Clifford and Eugene Clifford; his son Emilio Clifford; his grandmother Louise Plentyholes; his siblings, Charles Clifford, Calvin Clifford, John Clifford, Melvin Clifford, Terry Clifford and Louanne Smith; and his son-in-law Alonso Chavez.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Kakkak; his children, Ronnie Silas of Watertown, SD, Robert Clifford, Ginger Silas, Verdell Clifford, Jr., Calvin Clifford, Amanda Silas, Kristyne Kakkak and Tyra EagleStar of Gregory, SD; and his brothers, Eugene Clifford of Mobridge, SD and Marvin Clifford of Denver, CO. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
