She was predeceased by: her parents, Everett Pearson and Sylvia Pearson (Martina); and her brother Jim. She is survived by: her husband Dave; her daughters, Katie Miller (Matt) and Sara (John); her grandchildren, McKenzie, David and Wesley; and her siblings, Marilyn (Randy), Nancy (Dale) and Ronnie. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Avera Prairie Center for cancer treatment in Val's honor.
