He was predeceased by: his parents, Myron Swenson and Kathryn Swenson (Kennedy); his daughter Jill; and his siblings, Lloyd, Liz and Deb.

He is survived by: his spouse Ruthe Archer; his children, Tim and Penne Swenson (Bruce); his grandson Timmie; and his brother Bill. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
